Truth prevails as does good science and the State of Florida is now funding Brian's research which basically revolves around nutrient enrichment and the dire consequences that result from not recognizing the importance of addressing nitrogen enrichment in our waterways and oceans. The Reef Relief Coral Photo Monitoring Survey officially began in 1993 when we noticed an apparent decline in the health of our coral reefs and officially made the commitment to photographically document, over time, select coral colonies and locations on the reefs near Key West. Our mission expanded in coverage as you will see if you visit our web site and it is about to get much bigger. Over the course of the next few years we will be including images taken from coral reefs from around the world by many different photographers.
